Education:

2012-2018 KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Media Technology department, PhD degree.
2006-2009 Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, media art and photography department, PhD degree.
1998-2001 Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, video art and photography department; Master degree.
1999-2000 Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, media art school.
1993-1997 Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, graphic art department; Bachelor degree.
1989-1993 Kaunas Art College, design department.

Vygandas Šimbelis (Das Vegas) is a contemporary artist who graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Arts and later obtained his PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, where he also taught and conducted research. His work has been showcased in various international exhibitions, biennials, and art festivals in São Paulo, New York, Toronto, Dubai, Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Stockholm, Bergen, Barcelona, and beyond.
